Immediate steps to take if you suspect unauthorised access to your Exchanger account.

If you suspect someone has gained unauthorised access to your account, act immediately — every minute matters.
1. Contact support via live chat. Tell us your username and that you believe your account is compromised. We will immediately freeze the account to prevent any withdrawals, trades, or profile changes.
2. Change your email password. If your email account is also compromised, an attacker can request password resets. Change your email password first and enable 2FA on your email if you haven't already.
3. Revoke third-party app permissions. Go to Settings → Security → Connected Apps and revoke everything you do not recognise.
4. Scan your device for malware. Compromised accounts are often caused by keyloggers or remote-access trojans. Run a full antivirus scan before logging back in.
After we have secured your account, a senior support agent will walk you through the recovery process, including identity re-verification to confirm ownership.
