Today we are excited to announce that Exchanger has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round, led by Paradigm with participation from Framework Ventures and several strategic angels.

When Nina and I started Exchanger in 2022, we wanted to build the P2P exchange we always wished existed — one with non-custodial escrow, real-time chat, and transparent fees. Two years later, we have 50,000 active traders across 180 countries.

This capital will be deployed in three areas. First, compliance infrastructure: we are expanding our KYC and AML capabilities to support institutional traders and regulated markets in the EU, UK, and Singapore.

Second, engineering: we are doubling the engineering team and migrating our backend to a microservices architecture to handle 10x current trading volume without latency spikes.

Third, new assets and payment methods: we plan to add Polygon, Avalanche, TON, and TRON as tradable assets before year-end, alongside 40+ new local payment methods in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

To our traders: thank you. Every trade, every review, every bug report has shaped this product. We are building this for you, and we are just getting started.
